This device also known as a faradic Faradic battery/stimulator was used in the therapeutic treatment of various ailments. It worked by creating a mild electronic shock.
It is housed in a box, with hinged lid and small compartment beneath that housed a battery. In the lid is an rubber lined rod, that can be inserted into the side of the device. The main control panel has the induction coil, a pull on/off button, two labels marked 'patient' and a dial with four gradients. There is also a label for the supplier, Stanford X-Ray Co Pty Ltd.
