Subject and Association DescriptionHugh Bown James was born in Moonta in 1886 and studied medicine at Trinity College Melbourne. After graduating in 1914, he served as a Captain in the First World War. After the war, Dr James worked in his father's medical practice in Moonta. No records have yet been found detailing his later life and working career after he left Moonta in 1922. Dr James died on 8 February 1963.
