NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK

This week (16 to 22 May) is National Volunteer Week and the CALHN Health Museum wishes our volunteers ‘Happy Volunteer Week’ and acknowledges and celebrates their valuable contribution.

Glenda Schomburgk, CALHN Health Museum Volunteer

We have volunteers at both Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital working on a variety of projects including conducting oral histories, organising and presenting events during May’s History Festival, contributing content to our new website, accessioning and cataloguing the collection, identifying photographs, researching, typing, scanning and assisting wherever required.

Karen Lai and Linda Branson, CALHN Health Museum Volunteers

The last couple of years have been difficult thanks to Covid, with our volunteers being frequently absent from the museum. However, they have adapted to the changing situation, with many supporting us with activities from home.

The CALHN Health Museum thanks all our volunteers for their help and support, especially during this difficult time.
